African Fish Eagle

This awesome eagle helps the entire ecosystem, even people, by eating major predators of young and small fishes, like catfish. If African fish eagles disappeared it would throw our seafood consumption into a tailspin. In some areas the fish eagle’s eggs are beginning to become brittle, which puts them at danger as a species. Brittle eggs are a tell-tale sign that pesticides are being passed from neighboring farmlands to the food these eagles prey upon. To help save the African eagle fish and keep our ecosystem in check, clean up the waterways near you and use chemicals with care.
